Beginner Heroes Guide
In pumpkinforge, you have two kinds of classes- primaries and professions. You can be one primary and one profession class at the same time.
To choose a primary class, type:
To see the available skills of any prof/primary, type:
There are five main primary classes: Four for the McMMO skills (unarmed, axes, swords, archery), and the caster, which has doubled mana and some starting spells. Your primary class decides what weapon you can use and train in (with McMMO), and your mana (which increases per level).
Then you have professions. Professions give you access to various skills. For example, the firemage profession allows you to shoot fireballs (among other abilities). There are currently 10 professions:
Enchanter:
Enchanter is a special profession not meant for combat. Just as its name says, it's meant to be for enchanting items (with an enchanting table). To gain exp points as an enchanter, use the skill reagent, whether by binding it to an item, or typing "/skill reagent". This will consume one gold ingot in your inventory, and give you 250 exp points.
Rogue:
Rogues are fast-moving poison users. While they do not have the early level sneak that seekers do, they later learn to disappear completely for short periods of time using smoke. Their powerful poisons make them dangerous opponents without a nearby friendly medic.
Seeker:
Seekers are player-hunting specialists with very little raw damage output. This makes them harder to train than other classes, but they make up for this with some of the most useful abilities. They have drastically increased speed in water, allowing them to catch up to enemies, and can even find the location of any player on the map using track.
Defender:
Defenders are the typical heavily armored tank. They're the only class that can wear diamond armor, and soon learn to further increase their defense with shield and healing spells. It's hard to kill a defender with conventional weapons, but magical attacks will act as if their armor isn't there.
Medic:
Medics are, well, medics. As they level up, they gain more and more healing spells. Medics excel in healing allies and countering the rogue's poison.
Sentry:
Sentries have powerful, projectile-spammy skills intended to provide suppressing fire for allies. Although you'd think nothing about that blizzard coming your way in a one on one fight, it will really mess with your aim if you're being assaulted by snowballs while trying to stab someone.
Icemage:
Icemages are ice-wielders that slow and restrict their enemy's movement. They're good for marking targets for your deadlier allies to dispose of.
Voltmage:
The voltmage is a lightning user specializing in quick bursts of heavy damage. There's not really much else to say about them.
Firemage:
Firemages specialize in damage over time through fire. Although not the most deadly, there's something about fire that tends to cause chaos in enemy ranks. Probably the burning alive part.
Summoner:
Summoners use curses and undead minions to attack their enemies. Another natural enemy of the medic, their curses are extremely dangerous, but easily cured. Summoners possess the silliest skill in the server (for now! ): piggify
